Combine multiple images into a pdf with ImageMagick’s convert tool:

convert *.png doc.pdf

Create a multi-resolution web icon “favicon.ico” from the template image “favicon.png”:

convert \( favicon.png -geometry 16x16! \) \
        \( favicon.png -geometry 32x32! \) \
        -depth 8 favicon.ico

Combine two images side-by-side into a single image:

montage -mode concatenate -tile 2x1 left.jpg right.jpg output.jpg
